So, anyway, one of Evan's cousins told me how trying new foods was one of his favorite things to do, and that I should blog about that. Unfortunately, I couldn't really think of any food that I'd eaten lately that was new to me; then, I remembered the chalupa. I'd had one before from Tacobell which is basically a taco with a biscuit-like crust, but never a real one. I had the false, pre-conceived notion of what a chalupa was, but experiencing the actual dish was nothing like what I expected. It wasn't overly good, and it wasn't bad; it was merely typical Mexican food. The point is that I was trying something new before I even realized it because I thought I already had an idea of what a chalupa was. Now I know, (or so I think).
Sometimes, things just aren't entirely what you expect especially in our society, not really bad or good, just different.
